Disaster Assistance Loan

As a credit union dedicated to serving law enforcement, we are committed to taking care of our own during times of great need and hardship. To help those members affected by the recent storms in California, we are offering a Disaster Assistance Loan to help with unexpected expenses.

Applying for a Disaster Assistance Loan

Members who have suffered damage can borrow up to $7,500, with payments deferred for 90 days. If a higher amount is desired, you may speak to a loan officer. Members need to be residents of California. This loan is available to current members in good standing. Current member is defined as those with established membership effective on or before 1/7/2023. See below for additional details.

Getting help with your mortgage or HELOC

If you have been affected by the recent storms, please contact your insurance company immediately. After you have contacted your insurance company:

  • If you have a first mortgage with The Police Credit Union, please call 866.768.7354.
  • If you have questions or concerns about your HELOC or other loans with us, please call our Contact Center at 800.222.1391.
