Streamline your finances using SF Police Credit Union’s Online and Mobile Banking services

As a credit union focused on First Responders and their families, we know that convenience is key when it comes to serving those with busy lives and often unpredictable schedules. Our members need to connect to us whenever and wherever necessary to take care of business, and we provide a wealth of online services to empower them to do this— regardless of whether they are using a computer, tablet or smartphone device.

Want to ensure that you are taking full advantage of our Online Banking platform to better manage your financial life? Take a look at our some of our suggestions of how to optimize our online and mobile features and benefits:

Check account activity and set alerts: Regularly monitoring your balances and transactions online is an excellent way to help you manage your money while also ensuring that no unauthorized activities have occurred on your accounts. Also consider using our email or text alerts to help you to respond quickly when it serves you—from making a payment on your credit card before the due date to quickly transferring funds when your checking account dips below a certain level.

Pay bills: If you’re still running out to the post office to buy stamps and mail checks, you’ll soon find that you save time and money, and reduce stress, by enrolling in SFPCU’s online Bill Pay. A convenient and secure way to manage your debts, Bill Pay provides the flexibility to schedule one-time or recurring payments, and allows you to track payments and view payment history. Use Bill Pay to make payments using your computer through our online interface or pay bills on the go with your mobile device and our Mobile Banking app. Login to Online Banking to sign up today!

Declutter your home and your life: Amassing piles of paperwork faster than you can file them? Eliminating unnecessary paper files with E-statements can go a long way toward reducing clutter—restoring a sense of order in your home and enhancing your overall well-being. By signing up for E-statements, you can quickly access your account history from anywhere, anytime. You’ll also support environmental efforts by reducing paper waste. Here’s another great  reason to switch to E-statements for your SFPCU accounts: as of November 30, 2015, the number of E-statements now available to you for viewing has been expanded from 12 months to 23 months—and over this year, additional months will become available, eventually reaching 35 months!

Deposit checks electronically: Many of us in the Bay Area continually find ourselves short on time, and this is especially true of First Responders! If it’s a nuisance to visit your branch to deposit a check in the middle of your workday, Mobile Deposit is a great solution for you. All you need is an SFPCU Checking or Savings Account and the SFPCU Mobile App on your camera-equipped mobile device, and you can deposit checks from almost anywhere in the world! To access Mobile Banking, just search in the iTunes App Store or Android Market (Google Play) for “SF Police Credit Union” and download our app to your device. Visit our Mobile Deposit page for more details.

Easily send money to almost anyone: Need to transfer funds to someone without an SFPCU account? With our Person-to-Person Personal Payment System (P2P), you can send money to anyone from your SFPCU account—all you need is the recipient’s email address or mobile number. Plus, enhanced security lets you select a special keyword to make sure that your payment stays safe. For more information on P2P Payments and how to access this service, click here. And don’t forget, you can transfer funds from your SFPCU accounts to your accounts at other financial institutions. For more information on this valuable service, visit our Mobile Banking page.

Not only will you save money, time and energy with our Online Banking, but you’ll also experience peace of mind knowing that SFPCU is committed to providing you the most secure online experience. SFPCU uses encrypted systems as well as special security measures to protect your identity and personal financial information while banking online. Among the security features we’ve incorporated into our Online Banking system are Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), which provides multiple layers of defense to keep others from logging in to your account, and a powerful firewall that is monitored 24/7 to prevent unauthorized communications between our internal network and the Internet.
